TRADITIONAL YATHRI COOKER

This is on display at the 'Museum Of Culinary Arts' in Manipal. This is 38-pieces of art where a whole kitchen is packed precisely inside a brass container. It is believed to be from late 19th century; formerly owned by a royal household and was used during picnics or hunting trips. This was a part of "Yatra Kit". Yatris would cook, eat, wash, pack and leave for next destination. The brilliance of Indian arts, mathematics and craftsmanship.
