The Vishnudurgai temple in Maharajapuram village (adjacent to Baskararajapuram) is an ancient one. It is believed that Durvaasa Maharishi worshipped at this holy temple. On January 25, Thai Friday, some of my co-villagers now living in different cities have planned an abhishekam and puja to Vishnudurga Ambal.

The program includes abishekam, alankaram and archanai to the deity in the forenoon (about 11:30AM) and Chandana Kaapu in the evening 6-7pm.
