With the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, a mini sports camp was organised for Viswa Yuva at Sri Mahaswamy Vidya Mandir, Rajakilpakkam, on 8th January. This event was made possible despite the short notice. There was enthusiastic participation from individuals hailing from diverse locations, ranging from Australia to Adyar. The programme commenced with Suryanamaskaram led by Sri Sriram, setting an energetic and positive tone for the day. Following this, Sri Bhargav conducted sessions on the basics of tennis at the school grounds, introducing participants to foundational techniques and skills. All were treated to a sumptuous lunch at the Bhojanashala, and post-lunch, attendees had the opportunity to tour the Kanchi Kosh and Sri Jayendram museums, enriching their experience with insights into Sri Kanchi Mutt, Kanchipuram, Sri Adi Sankaracharya and Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. The management and trustees of Sri Mahaswamy Vidya Mandir extended their full support and provided all necessary facilities for the smooth conduct of the camp, despite the limited preparation time. Their commitment was instrumental in the successful execution of the event. We look forward to organize similar camps for Viswa Yuva during the upcoming summer and December this year, aiming to continue fostering youth engagement and sportsmanship.
