A historic moment unfolding at the intersection of timeless tradition and cutting-edge science! On 11 October 2026, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi offered prayers to the sacred Śrī Rāmayantram at Jalakandeswarar Temple (IIT Madras campus).

This divine instrument, an ancient intricate masterpiece carved in Saligramam stone at Kanchipuram’s Upanishad Brahmendra Matham, has been flawlessly brought to life in microstructure-engineered Brass using a first-of-its-kind 2D-to-3D digital conversion algorithm by IIT Madras with SCSVMV’s support to decipher and recreate the sacred Yantra.

At Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, Kancheepuram (SCSVMV University), we are profoundly honoured to be the cultural and scholarly anchor of this monumental initiative with the divine guidance of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetadhipati Jagadguru Pujyasri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracarya Swamigal.

Our Sanskrit & Indian Culture faculty have played a foundational role in decoding and establishing the profound cultural significance of the Rāmayantram.

During the Prime Minister's visit on this auspicious occasion of Navratri, a special Rama Dashavarana Puja was performed for the welfare, health, and unparalleled progress of the nation.

This project stands as a testament to what happens when a deep-rooted cultural scholarship seamlessly fuses with next-generation engineering ,redefining how ancient Indian legacy can work seamlessly with modern technological breakthroughs.
