His Holiness Pujya Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamiji’s Visit to Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple-29th September 2026

His Holiness Pujya Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamiji was accorded a reverential welcome with traditional temple honors at Sri Meenakshi Sundareswara Swami Temple, Madurai.

The Temple priests and officials accompanied His Holiness through the magnificent Mantapams, adorned with intricate carvings and exquisite sculptures that bear testimony to the grandeur of the temple’s sacred architecture.

His Holiness offered special worship to Sri Meenakshi Ambal. The Divine Mother was adorned with two gold pendants along with several other precious ornaments.

His Holiness subsequently performed Anushtanam near the Vinayakar Sannidhi, situated just outside the Sanctum Sanctorum, while devotees gathered in large numbers and immersed themselves in the chanting of Sri Lalita Sahasranamam.

Following the Deeparadhana, His Holiness was offered the traditional temple customary honours by the temple priests and authorities.

The temple officials then accompanied Pujya Swamiji to the temple Gajashala, where he blessed, fed, and observed the two elephants housed there.

The temple priests and officials were subsequently honoured in the august presence of His Holiness.

His Holiness offered prayers for the welfare, prosperity, and well-being of all.
