The Jayanthi celebrations at Kakinada of HH Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal were held with devotion and piety in the divine presence of His Holiness Pujya Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal.
At Kanchi, the Brundavanam of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal was decked up with special Alankarams and Vishesha pujas performed. In the evening Swarna Ratham with Photo of Sri Periyava was taken around the four Raja Veethis. Veda Parayanam & Shastra Sabha were held. Sri Neyveli Santhanam performed concert in front of His Holiness Brundavanam.
At Kakinada, Ekadasha Rudram was performed & Chandi Homam Purnahuti performed in the divine presence of His Holiness. His Holiness performed Swarna Pada Puja to the silver Padukas of Sri Jayendra Periyava. Sri Vishwanatha Gopalkrishna Sastry rendered the Ashtottaram. Special talks on the greatness of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal were given by Sri Vishwanatha Gopalkrishna Sastry, Sri Balakrishnan, Sri Ramlal Sarma, Sri Chaganti Koteswar Rao & Sri Chirravuri Srirama Sarma in presence of His Holiness. Sri Periyava then addressed the gathering.
Welfare items like iron boxes, vessels, hearing aids etc were distributed. A special eye camp was organised by Sankara Eye Hospital, Guntur for common public at Kakinada. Concerts were held thereafter. People gathered in large numbers and sought blessings.
