Syama Sastrigal Jayanti Celebrations – Bangaru Kamakshi Devasthanam, Thanjavur

With the boundless blessings of Devi Kamakshi and the anugraha of His Holiness Sri Sri Periyaval, the Jayanti of Sri Syama Sastrigal will be observed on the 18th and 19th of April (Saturday and Sunday) at the Bangaru Kamakshi Devasthanam, Thanjavur, under the auspices of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.

This year marks the third edition of the celebrations. The previous years witnessed enthusiastic and heartfelt participation from numerous musicians who offered their musical homage to the revered composer.

The blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Periyaval continue to be the guiding force behind the successful conduct of this sacred event.

An Akhandam is scheduled on April 18th from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM, during which several artists will render the compositions of Sri Syama Sastrigal.

On April 19th at 9:30 AM, a Ghoshti Ganam featuring the three Svarajatis of Sri Syama Sastrigal will be held.
