Tula Snanam
துலா ஸ்நானம் என்பது துலா (ஐப்பசி) மாஸத்தில் காவேரி நதியில் ஸ்நானம் செய்வது. இவ்வாறு ஸ்நானம் செய்வது அளவற்ற புண்யத்தை அருளக்கூடியது. இந்த மாதம் முழுவதும், கங்கை உட்பட அனைத்து புண்ய தீர்த்தங்களும் காவேரி நதியில் வந்து வசிகின்றன.
துலா மாதத்தில் காவிரியில் தினமும் நீராடுவது, ஒருவருக்கு தர்ம-அர்த்த-காம-மோக்ஷங்களாகிய நான்கு புருஷார்த்தங்களையும் வழங்குகிறது. மேலும், இந்த மாதத்தில் காவேரிக் கரையில் செய்யப்படும் தான தர்மங்கள், கங்கை நதிக்கரையில் செய்வதற்கு இணையான சிறப்புப் புண்யத்தை அளிக்கின்றன.
முடவன் முழுக்கு அன்று ஸ்நானம் செய்தல் முழு மாதமும் ஸ்நானம் செய்த புண்யத்தைத் தரும்.

‘Tula Snanam’ refers to the act of bathing in the river Kaveri during the Tula month (Tamil Aippasi). Performing this ritual bestows immense punya. Throughout this entire month, all sacred waters — including those of the river Ganga — reside within the river Kaveri.
Bathing daily in the Kaveri during this month grants a person the four purusharthas: Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. Furthermore, dana dharma activities performed on the banks of the Kaveri during this month yield punya equivalent to performing the same acts on the banks of the river Ganga.
Performing snana on Mudavan Muzhukku gives the punya of having done snana throughout the month.
With the anugraha of our Shri Kamakoti Jagadguru Shankaracharya-s, for astikas to do anushthanam the snana paddhati is published in multiple scripts.
