Sri Krishna along with Sri Satyabhama then went to India's place and Sri Satyabhama wanted the Parijatha Malar in lndra's garden. Since Indra refused to give up the flower, Sri Krishna destroyed the garden (Kavalam) and brought the Parijatha flower to the earth. Hence this place is known as Kavalampadi.
