Ved Vidyalaya in Lucknow is doing a remarkable service of imparting vedic knowledge in Gurukulam tradition and it is committed to preserve the veritable treasure for posterity.

Ved Vidyalaya at Lucknow, funded by His Holiness Kanchi Kama Koti Peetam of Kanchipuram Tamilnadu is run successfully by Shankaracharyas and devotees of Lucknow for the past 15 years. The Ved Vidyalaya has already organized a number of samasti (free) Upalayanams for poor and needy and carried out a lot of religious activities like Akanda Ramayanam Parayanam and Adi Shankara Jayanthy regularly. This is a unique ved vidyalaya teaching Shulkla Yajur Veda without any profit motive. This ved vidyalaya is absolutely essential as learning of Vedas and Karmakhand procedures is possible only through Guru Shisya parampara. This is a unique residential vidyalaya totally free for the students. Number of our old students has been taking care of a lot of temples in and around Lucknow as well as carrying out karmakhand poojas due to proper rigorous training. But it is quite unfortunate that Ved Vidyalaya does not have a building.

His Holiness Kanchi Shankaracharyya has been kind enough to purchase a plot of land at Devraigaon behind Air Force Station Bakshika Talab at a cost of 25 lacks for ved and kharmakhand shiksha kendram. We propose to build a simple hall, five rooms and a verandah for housing vidyalaya students which will cost a minimum of Rs.1000000/- which can be used also for housing a CBSC school for imparting knowledge to people of the vidyalaya. A sum of Rs.60000/- has been spent already for getting a transformer and electric connection. A sum of Rs.3.5 lacks have been spent for building a kitchen and two toilets for the children. Idols of Ganeshji, Kamakshi Devi and Adi Sankaracharya (without top roof) have been installed by donation from devotees.

We appeal to all devotees in India and abroad to donate generously for this holy activity. Donors will be suitably acknowledged. Those donating Rs.150000/- a room will be permanently named after them/person of their choice.
