His Holiness performs Puja at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi *

His Holiness Pujya Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal performed Shodashopachara Pujas at Kashi Vishwanatha Swamy Mandir today morning. His Holiness was received at the Mandir Dwar by temple Pandits & Trustees including the Commissioner and taken to Garbha Gruha where His Holiness performed Pujas. His Holiness offered Silk Vastrams, Rajata Vilvams, Swarnapushpa during the Pujas. Chamaram with Silver hold was submitted on the occasion.

His Holiness then visited Mukti Mandapam and returned back to Shankar Math at Hanuman Ghat.

Earlier His Holiness arrived yesterday 5/7/2023 at Kashi in the evening. At the iconic Raman Vilas His Holiness was received by Kashi citizens led by Mayor of Kashi. It was at the same place - Raman Vilas where His Holiness Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal was received in 1974. His Holiness was led in a Pattana Pravesham procession on a decorated chariot along the main streets of Kashi which lasted for nearly 5 hours commencing at 7 PM and culminating with Pada Puja by Kashi Maharaja & Yuvaraja at the Rajasthal near the Shankar Math. Enroute the procession His Holiness was enthusiastically received by people belonging to different communities & organisations.
