शास्त्रे तदनुष्ठातृषु च । (śāstre tadanuṣṭhātṛṣu ca). People of the loka should cultivate faith in the śāstrās. They should also develop trust in those who observe śāstra anuṣṭhāna. Rulers should work with the abhiprāyā to do good, as expressed in, प्रजाक्षेमं कुर्मः इति मत्वा प्रजाक्षोभमेव कुर्वताम् । (prajākṣemaṃ kurmaḥ iti matvā prajākṣobhameva kurvatām ।- Thinking, we are ensuring the welfare of the people, may they not instead cause unrest among the people). The saṅkalpā included these sentiments. It seems that it was drafted during Maha Periyava's time. This old saṅkalpā was composed for Navarātri. Why does the Maṭham celebrate the Navarātri festival? During that time, when Subramania Bharatiyar was serving as a newspaper editor, they sent a telegram to him from Kumbakonam, announcing that the Śrīmaṭham in Kumbakonam was conducting a grand Lakṣadīpa Utsavam, along with many homas and pārāyaṇams. Subramania Bharatiyar published it under the headline 'Shankara Matam Thanthi Pesugirathu' (The Telegram from the Śaṅkara Maṭham speaks) in the Swadeshi Mitran newspaper, and wrote his reflections and abhiprāyās. That is the significance of the Navarātri festival. Children of the pāṭhaśālā, here in Orikkai (2021), recited a śloka describing how Ambāl, with many forms of Lakṣmī kaṭākṣa, bestows anugraham as Saumya Lakṣmī and Saurya Lakṣmī. For everyone to prosper with various forms of aiśvarya, we offer our prārthanā to the all-powerful Kāmākṣī Amman. Hara Hara Śaṅkarā Jaya Jaya Śaṅkarā #kamakoti #JagadguruVacanam

If we lack the opportunity to learn the noble material in our tradition and don't understand the meaning of the upadeśās, even though our śāstras contain countless noble ideas, viniyoga (distribution) is necessary. The subject exists in Hinduism; Sanātana Dharmā contains valuable information. Why do we engage in vivecana (discernment) and viniyoga? What are their special qualities? What is their uddēśā (objective)? Doing something merely out of faith is one thing; doing it for honor or recognition is something else. If we understand its significance, we can practice it with appreciation. Viniyoga means that even if something is good, it should reach many people. For that, we need a distribution system. Just as we distribute prasāda, we should convey good messages to everyone in a way that will motivate them to get involved. If these teachings had remained only in manuscripts, they would not be widely known. If they had remained only on palm-leaf manuscripts and had never been printed, if so many books had not been published, we would not know these teachings today.Even those printed works are now available through new devices. People can access everything conveniently in the palm of their hands. Whether the habit of memorizing still exists is another matter. But overall, the fact that this knowledge is readily accessible is certainly an advantage. Hara Hara Śaṅkarā Jaya Jaya Śaṅkarā #kamakoti #JagadguruVacanam

Ācārya did pracāra of Vedānta, declaring Satyaṃ Advaitaṃ. For this purpose, all Periyavās made immense efforts for so many years, working in every possible way to bring society together. During Mahā Periyavā’s time, He emphasized that people understand and follow the śāstras, ācāras, and prācīna (ancient) Dharmā. Pudhu Periyavā continued all of this and, along with it, ensured that society did not drift too far from dharmā. That is why He encouraged vilakku pūjās, weekly worship, temple thirupani, and rural employment, fulfilling bhukti and mukti(material and spiritual needs). He encouraged people performing kachēris, especially those singing Lalita Saṅgītam, devotional songs, and writers and journalists in society. To promote proper understanding of Hindu Sanātana Dharma, He promoted education, health services, and similar initiatives. Whatever needs existed at any given time, They addressed them. Looking at the combined work of Mahā Periyavā and Pudhu Periyavā over these hundred years, we should contemplate society formation. #kamakoti #JagadguruVacanam

Significance of vigraha Pratiṣṭhā in Sanatana Dharma Jagadguru Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Kanchipuram #kamakoti #JagadguruVacanam #SanatanaDharma #guru #JAGADGURU #Kanchimutt #KamakotiGuruParampara #Srimatam #bhagavan #Temples #Vigrahaaradhana

Instead of thinking that, as Svāmī resides in temples, it is enough if we think of Him when we go to the temple, keeping Him in our thoughts every moment, without wasting even a second of our time, as stated in, यमस्य करुणा नास्ति कर्तव्यं हरिकीर्तनम्॥ (yamasya karuṇā nāsti kartavyaṃ harikīrtanam — Yama, the god of death, shows no mercy; therefore, one must engage in the chanting of Hari’s name) नाहं वसामि वैकुण्ठे न योगि हृदये रवौ । मद्भक्ता यत्र गायन्ति (nāhaṃ vasāmi vaikuṇṭhe na yogi hṛdaye ravau | madbhaktā yatra gāyanti — I do not reside in Vaikuṇṭha, nor in the hearts of yogis, nor even in the sun. I reside wherever my devotees sing my name. Thus, our bhūmi has nurtured such a close connection with Bhagavān, with Svāmī, and bhakti. All relationships, all rights, all ownership ultimately belong to Bhagavān. With the Īśvara‑arpaṇa‑buddhi, whether one performs even a small act like sandhyāvandanam, or fulfills one’s daily duties, or performs elaborate rituals, everything is offered with: तत्सत् ब्रह्मार्पणमस्तु । कायेन वाचा मनसेन्द्रियैर्वा (tatsat brahmārpaṇamastu | kāyena vācā manasendriyairvā — May all this be an offering to Brahman; whatever I do with body, speech, mind, or senses is surrendered). Thus, samarpaṇa is pradhāna (primary) in life. In such a life, the laukika (worldly) aspect is only one aṅgam (part); it is not pradhāna. Today, it may appear that vaidikam is only an aṅgam and the laukikam is pradhāna. However, according to our śāstra saṃpradāya, vaidikam is pradhāna, and laukikam is only an aṅgam, something that comes and goes, not pradhāna. Therefore, the lifestyle of people in other deśās is fundamentally different from the lifestyle of people in our deśā. Here, with life centered around Īśvara, mantras, japa, dāna, dharma, and priyam, the mode of thinking is very different. Understanding such a way of life has become very necessary for people today. There is a sense of duty, and along with duty, the need for this understanding has greatly increased.Hara Hara Namaḥ PārvatīPataye | Hara Hara Māhādevā | #kamakoti #JagadguruVacanam
